I am a gambler at heart. I will buy something based on the name alone. I was looking over a couple of purchases that I have made on Roaste and so far (knock on wood) my impulse buys have been good. At least for me. The names that come to mind for me were:

Klatch Poizon Blend -Klatch Coffee

White Done Wright Coffee-Avion Coffee

Guatemala Santa Isabel Single Estate Espresso - The West Bean

Caveman Kicker Coffee - Rogue Coffee Roasters

The title of "most different" would go to White Done Wright. The grounds are blonde. They call it "toasted" not roasted! I really liked it. A good description would be to think of it like a Chinese tea compared to a regular "black" tea. It is very mild with a strong nutty flavor and taste. Friends of mine are not fans of it but I would order it again for me. The friends did like it mixed with other coffee before brewing. Two scoops of the blonde coffee and two scoops of a darker blend. The nutty flavor was milder but still good.

I have more impulse buys coming up. I forgot to add one to my wishlist that one of the frequent bloggers (I forgot who as well!) recommended. I do remember commenting on it so if you remember me saying I wanted to try the coffee that you blogged about please let me know which one it was!

Southpaw is really good and should continue your trend of picking up good coffees. I agree with you on the impulse buys my last two were that, the flavored coffee and my current one coming from Mighty Good Coffee, I am hoping its mighty good.

I like your list of impulse buys. I'm loooking over the rating and those beans are rated very highly by Roaste people! Good choice!

Impulse buying does happen once a while for everyone I suppose. As long as it's a good purchase(which I suspect it is in this case), don't sweat it. =D Do report back once you had the chance of trying them out. I am sure many would appreciate your feedback.

I remember the first "good" coffee I ever tried. It was Klatch Belle Espresso. It was incredible. I did order the Southpaw. Cannot wait to try it (and keep it out of reach of my coffee stealing dog!).

I got the Southpaw, too, and I'm going to brew up a cup in a few minutes. My best impulse coffee buy, though, was the Fruto del Fuego from Joe Bean that I bought here on ROASTe. If you like dark, smoky coffees, this one is for you.

Thanks Chamie. I will try that one next. This reminds me of a treasure hunt but instead of searching USPS delivers!

Just tried the PT's Southpaw Espresso both hot (with milk and a bit of sugar) and cold (black). It is really good. I really like it cold without any enhancements.

I don't see any of my coffee

I don't see any of my coffee bean purchases as impulse buys since I like trying different beans and always get little excited when I pull my first shot.

@jbviau - thank you! That was it. I need to drink more coffee so the caffeine boost can help my memory!

I think it was PT's Southpaw Espresso, no? Just check the recent blog posts for one by intrepid510.
