Coffee Zabaglione

Coffee Zabaglione (source: clairity)



Ingredients



Makes 4 short cups

3 egg yolks

3 tablespoons sugar

½ cup sweet cream

4 servings espresso, chilled

Strawberries (optional)



Preparation



  1. Combine the egg yolks and sugar in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer until foamy and bright.
  2. Whip the cream until it forms stiff peaks.
  3. Divide the espresso among 4 cups. Add 2 tablespoons of whipped cream to each cup. Add 2 tablespoons of the egg mixture.
  4. Optionally, add strawberries on top
  5. Serve immediately.
